Animangaki 2013 Event Coverage

IMG_4721_2048x1536

I apologize for the delay in writing this post because I had very little time during the weekdays after Animangaki due my part-time job and I had so many recording editing to do before I can present this. This may still look like a rushed post though.

Like C2AGE which is annually organized by HELP University, Animangaki is an annual ACG event in Malaysia organized by Sunway University the Animangaki Committee (Edit: I was informed that Animangaki itself has become an organization since 2012). Animangaki was held on the 24th and 25th of August, in the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center located in Sunway Pyramid (a shopping complex) which is not far from the university.  Did I mention that this is their 5th year anniversary? The schedule was pretty packed (for me at least) and running around the hall with with people flooding everywhere I go makes coverage really difficult.

Before I begin, I would like to thank Animangaki for providing me the media pass and the privilege to gain access whatever the the public could not.

For this coverage, I will be splitting the entire event into multiple section (even more than what I did for C2AGE) to make it easier to read. Please note that the photos are really bad and dark because the venue had low lighting, yes orange light bulbs are bad for my camera.

Check out my complete set of photos from Animangaki:

Feature Corner: Here are some photo albums of the event taken by our club members:

This is actually my first time attending Animangaki but most of the event was still rather familiar, only at an unexpected scale since it’s something organized by a group of university students. The Touhou Festival however was rather new to me. It’s nice to see a group of people enjoying a match of Alice VS Patchoulli together. Activity wise, I really enjoyed the singing during Animangaki Idol. Although not all of them were great but there were still awesome ones. I apologize for the half-ass writeup but I do hope you enjoy every part of it.
